Unlike traditional murder mystery dinners where guests passively watch a scripted show unfold, Crime Scene Entertainment offers a truly interactive experience—a real-life game of Clue. Those who opt to play a character receive personalized instructions, guiding them through objectives and interactions, while others must rely on their own wit and observation skills to uncover the truth. No two events are the same, making each gathering a fresh challenge for returning detectives.

And if murder isn’t quite your thing? No worries. The FunHouse, Crime Scene Entertainment’s dedicated event space, plays host to game nights, paint nights, homeschool activities, and even private celebrations like baby showers and birthday parties.

A Business Born from a Passion for Storytelling

Owner Jeni, a former professional photographer specializing in vintage pin-up and classic cars, stumbled upon the world of immersive mysteries in a way that seems almost… fated. In 2019, she hosted a 1920s-themed murder mystery event, selling out with 120 attendees. The overwhelming response made it clear—people weren’t just interested in watching a story unfold; they wanted to be a part of it.

But launching a business in 2019 came with challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic hit just as Crime Scene Entertainment was gaining momentum, threatening to shut the operation down before it could truly take off. However, through adaptability, determination, and a growing fanbase of mystery lovers, the company survived and is once again thriving.

Community at the Core

Beyond offering thrilling experiences, Crime Scene Entertainment is committed to giving back. The business has donated numerous tickets to local auctions and actively raised funds for charities such as Newby-Ginnings and local historical societies. Their passion for supporting the community is just as strong as their dedication to crafting unforgettable events.

A new and exciting opportunity that Crime Scene Entertainment is offering (get on board while it’s still open). Each month they will be hosting a FREE, fully decorated birthday party for one lucky child (ages 0-17) who might not otherwise have one! The celebration includes two hours in our event space, seating and small favors for up to 10 kids, and customizable entertainment like music, movies, or games. Parents just need to invite guests and bring food, drinks, and cake—but if that's a hardship, we’re happy to help. Local businesses interested in contributing to these special celebrations are welcome to join us!

What’s Next?

With their new event space in Post Falls, the team at Crime Scene Entertainment is expanding their offerings, adding more themed events to the calendar. And for those who love a good scare? Plans are already in motion to develop a five-acre haunt attraction—a dream project that will take immersive horror experiences to the next level.
