Bringing military valuesâintegrity, respect, and trustâto every job.

In the heart of Post Falls, Idaho, a veteran-focused business is making wavesânot just in demolition and junk removal but in creating meaningful employment for those whoâve served. JDog Junk Removal & Hauling â North Idaho & Spokane combines military values with exceptional service, transforming an industry while building a stronger community.

A Mission-Driven Beginning
Founded in January 2020 by John Merwald III, a proud USMC veteran, JDog Junk Removal started as a small operation with a big purpose: to support veterans, active military, and their families by creating job opportunities. What began with three employees and a clear mission has grown into a thriving company of 15 staff members, now providing demolition services alongside junk removal.
John, a longtime resident of Post Falls, shares a deep connection with the community. âMy wife worked for the city over 20 years ago,â John recalls, âand we knew Post Falls was where we wanted to plant roots after my military service.â

Military Precision Meets Community Care
JDog sets itself apart by bringing military valuesâintegrity, respect, and trustâto every job. Their clients include realtors, property managers, restoration companies, and contractors, all of whom appreciate the companyâs professionalism and above-average service. Whether itâs clearing out a property for a sale or taking on a complex demolition project, JDog delivers results with the precision youâd expect from a veteran-led team.
Their community-first approach doesnât stop at business. Each month, JDog offers free services to a veteran in need, nominated by the public. John also serves on the boards of the North Idaho Stand Down and the Inland Northwest Veterans Assistance League (IVAL), further solidifying the companyâs commitment to veterans in the region.

Growth and Giving Back
Since its launch, JDog has steadily grown while staying true to its mission. By 2025, they plan to expand their team to 40 employees, broaden their client base to include commercial construction companies, and introduce dumpster services to meet the community's evolving needs.
âWeâre excited about the future,â John says. âEvery step forward is a chance to support more veterans and make a bigger impact.â

A Local Legacy
JDogâs success story is a testament to whatâs possible when business and community goals align. For anyone in the Inland Northwest looking for dependable junk removal or demolition services, JDog isnât just a service providerâtheyâre a partner in building a stronger, more connected community.
