Weighing at almost 100 pounds and standing almost six feet on his hind legs, he is still a love bug. Playing ball, going on walks, and doing tricks for treats are his favorite things. If you have plenty of room in your home and your heart, stop by and meet Clyde. He sure would love to be adopted by you 🙏.

Companions Animal Center, formerly Kootenai Humane Society, has cared for and found homes for unwanted animals for over 45 years. Bryan Kelly to Succeed Deanne Clifford
as Lake City High Principal

Bryan Kelly, currently assistant principal at Lake City High School, has been selected as the school’s next principal, starting in the 2025-26 school year. A Lake City alumnus, Kelly brings years of leadership experience and was named the 2024 Idaho Assistant Principal of the Year. He will succeed Deanne Clifford, who retires in July after 15 years as principal. The Board of Trustees will finalize the appointment in February. Read More…

"The Berminator" Snowplow Named by Post Falls Middle School Students

Post Falls Middle School students helped name ITD’s newest snowplow "The Berminator," one of two winners in Region 1’s "Name a Snowplow" contest. Inspired by "The Terminator," the name was submitted by eighth grader Travin White and voted on by his classmates. ITD staff visited the school to unveil the snowplow, teach students about road safety, and give them a hands-on look at the 58,000-pound machine. Read More…

Idaho’s per capita passenger rate of 9,882 per 100,000 residents is 27.5% above the national average. Priest Lake Hosts Annual Vintage
Snowmobile Races January 25-26

Priest Lake, Idaho, will host vintage snowmobile racing on January 25-26 at the USFS Airstrip near Northman. Open to snowmobiles from 1985 or older, the event features categories for different ages, genders, and skill levels, drawing around 300 participants annually.
