Post Falls Residents

Scam callers impersonating Post Falls police have been reported in Kootenai County, Idaho. The scammers use caller ID spoofing to appear as local law enforcement and demand payments via gift cards or cryptocurrency to resolve fake warrants. Victims have reported losing significant amounts of money, and officials urge those targeted to report incidents to fraud.com or ic3.gov for further investigation. Read More…

Wildlife Officials Confirm Grizzly Shooting Was Self-Defense in Idaho Woods

A hunter in Idaho’s Caribou-Targhee National Forest fatally shot a charging grizzly bear on October 26 while elk hunting. The close-range encounter left the hunter with no time to use bear spray. Authorities confirmed the action was in self-defense after investigating the incident.
