The library is hosting a "Rev Up Your Reading!" event on November 5 to celebrate Idaho Family Reading Week. This event will feature a transportation-themed storytime, cardboard car-building, and a "drive-in" movie showing of Cars with a pizza lunch. Schweitzer Mountain in Idaho received an early snowfall with 15 inches over the weekend and an additional 4 inches on Monday. Forecasters predict up to 14 more inches by Tuesday, creating ideal conditions for the November 22 opening day. Join the Lake Pend Oreille Angler Science Program for a Chance at Big Rewards

Anglers at Lake Pend Oreille can join the 2024 Angler Science Program for a chance to win prizes by logging catches and reporting tagged fish. Prizes include Yeti coolers, tumblers, filet knives, and more. Participation involves submitting logbooks during events like the Thanksgiving Derby or independently. The program aids Idaho Fish and Game in tracking and managing the lake’s trophy rainbow trout population, providing essential data for sustainable fisheries management.
