Fed Cuts Interest Rates as White House Prepares for Transition to Trump’s 2nd Term

Panhandle Symphony Orchestra

The Panhandle Symphony Orchestra presents a free fall concert on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Lake City High School auditorium in Coeur d'Alene (6101 Ramsey Road). The program features R. Vaughan Williams' "English Folk Songs," a three-part collection including "Seventeen Come Sunday," "My Bonny Boy," and "Folk Songs from Somerset." The orchestra will also perform Rossini's "Tarantella" from "Three Dances from The Fantastic Toyshop," a ballet about a toymaker's dancing dolls. Read More...

Starting 2025, Glacier National Park Visitors Need Reservations for Key Areas

Starting in 2025, Glacier National Park will implement a timed-entry reservation system on the west side of the Going-to-the-Sun Road and the North Fork area to manage summer visitor congestion. Visitors must book entry times between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. from June 13 to September 28, though no reservation is required outside these hours. The park will continue allowing access to certain areas without reservations, and final details about the Many Glacier Valley, impacted by construction, are forthcoming. Read More...
