Local Veterans Honored in Coeur d'Alene Through Ceremony, Memorial Visits

The Coeur d'Alene Regional Chamber will honor Veterans Day with a ceremony at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Post Falls. This event acknowledges the service and sacrifices of local veterans and invites the community to reflect at local memorials, including Memorial Plaza and the American Legion Veterans Memorial. These spaces preserve the stories of Kootenai County’s veterans and offer a place for visitors to pay tribute. The annual Sons of Norway cod dinner is set for November 16 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Coeur d'Alene, with traditional Norwegian baked cod and sides. Starting 2025, Glacier National Park Visitors Need Reservations for Key Areas

Starting in 2025, Glacier National Park will implement a timed-entry reservation system on the west side of the Going-to-the-Sun Road and the North Fork area to manage summer visitor congestion. Visitors must book entry times between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. from June 13 to September 28, though no reservation is required outside these hours. The park will continue allowing access to certain areas without reservations, and final details about the Many Glacier Valley, impacted by construction, are forthcoming. Read More...
