Jayne is almost three years old and loves spending time peering out the window. Unfortunately, she does need daily care which makes her harder to adopt but she would make an amazing addition to your home.
Companions Animal Center, formerly Kootenai Humane Society, has cared for and found homes for unwanted animals for over 45 years. Local Veterans Honored in Coeur d'Alene Through Ceremony, Memorial Visits

The Coeur d'Alene Regional Chamber will honor Veterans Day with a ceremony at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Post Falls. This event acknowledges the service and sacrifices of local veterans and invites the community to reflect at local memorials, including Memorial Plaza and the American Legion Veterans Memorial. These spaces preserve the stories of Kootenai County’s veterans and offer a place for visitors to pay tribute. Crime Rates Drop Significantly in Coeur d'Alene as Policing Efforts Strengthen

Crime in Coeur d'Alene has significantly decreased, with serious offenses (like assault, burglary, and theft) dropping 13% from January to September 2024 compared to the same period last year. Since 2015, these crimes have fallen by 63%. Lesser offenses, including DUIs, also saw a decline, attributed to proactive policing, community engagement, and strategic efforts by the local police force. Chipotle Opens First Post Falls Location
in River City Center

Chipotle Mexican Grill opened its first Post Falls location on Highway 41 in the River City Center, near Westside Pizza. Open daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m., the restaurant currently offers smoked brisket for a limited time. It aims to employ 30 staff members, with some positions still open. This marks the seventh Chipotle location in the region, joining others in Spokane and Spokane Valley, and is part of the chain’s 3,500+ locations across the U.S. Read More...
