Local bidders can browse and bid on handcrafted art and blankets, with proceeds supporting hospice care and grief support. The Hagadone Marine Group is hosting its 2024 Christmas Gift Drive, benefiting The Canopy Village and Books for Tots. Community members can donate gifts or non-perishable items for children of all ages by selecting themed tags from trees in the Hagadone Marine lobby. New books can also be donated through the Books for Tots Book Bin. Donations are accepted until December 17th at the Coeur d'Alene drop-off location. Learn More…

Bald Eagles Return to Lake Coeur d'Alene
Spot Them in Secluded Areas

Bald eagles have returned to Lake Coeur d'Alene, with a recent count reporting 237 mature and 24 immature birds. While fewer eagles are visible at popular spots like Higgens Point, binoculars reveal many perched on the quieter south side of the lake. Feeding on abundant kokanee salmon, eagle activity is expected to peak mid- to late December, offering ideal viewing opportunities in the early morning or mid-afternoon. Read More…
