Hey CDA Local Buzz Folks, we would like you to meet Suzie โค๏ธ. Suzie is a two-year-old female cat with a sweet and outgoing personality. She arrived at the shelter as an injured stray, struggling with a severe limp in her front leg. Upon examination, it was discovered she had a healed bullet or projectile lodged in her left shoulder. After a successful procedure to remove it, Suzie has been thriving! Although she may continue to limp due to muscle loss on her left side, her joyful and loving spirit remains unshaken.
Suzie is looking for a forever home that is patient and understanding as she completes her recovery. She would thrive in a quiet household without other pets or young children, and she should remain an indoor-only cat to ensure her safety. Suzie adores attention and would make a wonderful companion in a home where she can feel secure, cherished, and loved. Stop in and see if Suzie is the right fit for your family as she would love to be adopted by you ๐.

Bald Eagles Depart
Lake Coeur d'Alene Earlier Than Expected

The annual migration of bald eagles to Lake Coeur d'Alene has peaked earlier than usual this year, with significantly lower numbers compared to previous seasons. A recent count recorded 191 eagles, a sharp decline from 284 the previous week and far below the record of 409 eagles observed on December 20, 2023. This decrease is attributed to dwindling kokanee salmon populations, the eagles' primary food source during their stay. Read Moreโฆ
