Paint and Sip Night Coming to Paws & Brews in Post Falls

Paws & Brews in Post Falls is hosting a Paint n' Sip event with Rustic Decor 208 on Friday, February 28, at 6 PM. Participants will create a decorative sign while enjoying a fun evening. The event is limited to 20 spots, costs $42 per person (excluding drinks), and requires pre-payment by February 18. To reserve a spot, guests should contact Mary Guy at 208-660-4001.
University of Idaho Achieves
R1 Research Status, Leading the State

Sheriff Robert Norris testified in support of House Bill 83, which would make it illegal for undocumented individuals to be in Idaho. The bill has passed committee and awaits a full House vote. Meanwhile, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) has strengthened its partnership with Border Patrol, with deputies and federal agents patrolling together. KCSO will assist in deporting non-U.S. citizens who commit crimes or are in the country illegally. Sheriff Norris has urged those in violation to self-deport and reaffirmed that Kootenai County is a "sanctuary" for law-abiding citizens and legal residents. Read More…

CDA Parks & Rec Announces
Swim Lessons for Kids

The City of Coeur d'Alene Parks and Recreation Department is offering indoor swim lessons for children ages 3-9. Registration begins on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Coeur d'Alene City Hall (710 E. Mullan Avenue). Lessons will take place at the McGrane Center's Kootenai Health Therapy Pool, with options for beginner through advanced levels.
Classes will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings starting at 5 PM or on Saturday mornings. A special Parent-Tot class is also available on Saturdays at 9 AM. The six-week session begins the week of March 3rd, and the cost is $55 per participant.
