Coeur d'Alene Firefighters Honored for Outstanding Service in 2024

The Coeur d'Alene Fire Department held its annual awards ceremony, recognizing outstanding firefighters and paramedics for their service in 2024. Firefighter-Paramedic Cody Moore was named Employee of the Year, while Capt. Jake Bieker received Firefighter of the Year honors. Promotions and awards were given to those who responded to over 1,000 calls, including Ironman Award winner Firefighter Zackary Brawley, who ran 1,154 calls. The event celebrated the dedication and professionalism of the department's personnel.

Melissa Berkowitz of Coeur d’Alene won a 2024 Harris Cruiser 210 pontoon boat at the Coeur d’Alene Boat Expo, a giveaway that drew 2,000 attendees on the event’s final day. Hosted by Hagadone Marine Group, the expo set a record 7,500 visitors, showcasing the latest watercraft while giving attendees a chance to win a dream boat.
