Coeur d’Alene Casino to Host
32nd Anniversary Powwow March 22–24

The Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel is set to celebrate Native American culture and tradition during its 32nd Anniversary Powwow, happening March 22–24, 2024. This three-day gathering will bring together dancers, drummers, and spectators from across the region to honor Indigenous heritage with vibrant performances and ceremonies.
Held in the Chinook Meadow Event Center, the powwow will feature Grand Entry ceremonies, where dancers adorned in colorful regalia take to the arena to the powerful rhythm of drum groups. The event will also include competitive dancing, drumming contests, and cultural displays, offering a unique opportunity to experience the beauty and significance of Native traditions. Kohberger Defense Seeks Dismissal of
Murder Charges in Idaho Hearing

Bryan Kohberger’s defense team is set to argue for dismissal of the murder indictment in an upcoming Idaho hearing, citing alleged flaws in the grand jury process and the use of genetic genealogy evidence. Prosecutors maintain the case was properly brought. Kohberger is charged in the 2022 murders of four University of Idaho students. Read More…
Major Work on SH-53 in Rathdrum
Begins March 18: Expect Delays

State Highway 53 in Rathdrum will undergo major construction starting March 18, 2025, to widen the road to five lanes, add turn lanes, and improve sidewalks and bike lanes.
