TVG Plumbing & Inspections, led by Coeur d’Alene native Bent Damschen, is more than just a plumbing service—it's a business built on trust, fairness, and community support. After running a successful home inspection company since 2013, Bent shifted his focus to plumbing full-time in 2024. His deep local knowledge and commitment to honest service have made TVG a go-to choice for homeowners looking for reliable and fairly priced plumbing solutions.
What truly sets TVG Plumbing & Inspections apart is its dedication to giving back. Every quarter, Bent donates and installs a free water heater for a veteran or their family, with plans to expand the initiative to a monthly giveaway. With a strong emphasis on quality work, fair pricing, and community impact, TVG Plumbing & Inspections is making a lasting difference in North Idaho—one home at a time.

Lake Cruises Anchor North Idaho's
2025 Tourism Surge

As North Idaho’s tourism season gears up, lake cruises have emerged as a major draw, offering both a scenic experience and a strong economic boost for the region. Companies operating on Lake Coeur d’Alene and surrounding waterways are reporting solid early bookings for spring and summer tours, pointing to a potentially robust visitor season ahead.
Several cruise operators have expanded offerings to include themed tours, private charters, and dining experiences that capitalize on the region’s natural beauty and growing visitor demand. These tours not only attract vacationers but also corporate groups, weddings, and local residents seeking a unique way to enjoy the lake.
Tourism officials are optimistic that these lake excursions will help maintain the area’s reputation as a top destination for outdoor recreation. Cruise operations serve as a key component of the local economy, supporting hospitality businesses such as hotels, restaurants, and shops, while also creating seasonal and full-time jobs. U.S. Consumer Confidence
Falls to Lowest Level in 12 Years

Consumer confidence in the U.S. has dropped sharply, hitting its lowest point in over a decade as more Americans express concern about their financial outlook. According to the latest data from the Conference Board, expectations for the future have fallen to levels not seen since 2013, signaling growing economic anxiety among households.
The overall consumer confidence index dipped in March, reflecting pessimism about job prospects, income stability, and business conditions. While the current assessment of the economy remains relatively steady, it’s the forward-looking sentiment that’s dragging the index down. Analysts note that this gap between present conditions and future expectations suggests that many Americans feel uncertain about what's ahead—even if the economy appears stable now. Spring Into Fishing
Idaho Families Encouraged to Cast a Line

As winter loosens its grip and Idaho's landscapes begin to thaw, it's the perfect time for families to gear up for spring fishing adventures. The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is encouraging anglers of all ages to grab their rods, check their gear, and enjoy the state's plentiful fishing opportunities as temperatures warm and fish become more active.
Spring is an ideal time to introduce children to fishing. With improved weather, stocked waters, and easier access to many local spots, it's a great way to spend quality time outdoors. Across the state, Idaho Fish and Game is working to stock thousands of catchable rainbow trout in lakes, ponds, and reservoirs—ensuring that both beginner and seasoned anglers have a good chance at a successful outing.
