Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre Delivers Broadway-Caliber Shows This Season

As Idaho’s oldest live performing arts organization, Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre (CST) continues to be a cornerstone of the region’s cultural scene. For nearly six decades, CST has brought the energy and excellence of Broadway to North Idaho, and the 2025 season promises to uphold that legacy with a dynamic blend of beloved classics and exciting premieres.
Kicking off the 58th season is Hello, Dolly! running June 27 through July 6. This cherished musical comedy, long requested by CST audiences, sets the tone with its iconic score and larger-than-life charm.
Following in July is the regional premiere of Anastasia, running July 18–27. Newly licensed for production, this enchanting musical brings to life the story of a young woman’s journey to uncover her past. With its sweeping score and emotional depth, Anastasia has become a modern favorite across the country.
Rounding out the summer is She Loves Me, scheduled for August 8–17. From the creators of Fiddler on the Roof and Cabaret, this timeless romantic comedy delivers heartfelt storytelling and classic musical craftsmanship. Learn More…
Roosevelt Inn Site May Become 12-Unit Townhome Development

The Roosevelt Inn, originally a 1905 schoolhouse before its conversion into a bed-and-breakfast, was sold in late 2023. While the historic building has long been a fixture in the community, it is not protected by local historic preservation ordinances, making redevelopment legally permissible.
The new owner is requesting a zoning change from R-17 (residential multifamily) to R-34 (higher-density residential) to allow for the 12-unit configuration. If approved, each unit would have a two-car garage and private entry, with the overall design aimed at attracting full-time residents rather than short-term renters.
Public reaction is expected to be mixed, as the project would mean the demolition of a historic structure but would also add much-needed housing to the downtown core. City officials will review the zoning request and site plans in the coming months as part of the public planning process. Learn More Here…

Spring Into Fishing
Idaho Families Encouraged to Cast a Line

As winter loosens its grip and Idaho's landscapes begin to thaw, it's the perfect time for families to gear up for spring fishing adventures. The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is encouraging anglers of all ages to grab their rods, check their gear, and enjoy the state's plentiful fishing opportunities as temperatures warm and fish become more active.
Spring is an ideal time to introduce children to fishing. With improved weather, stocked waters, and easier access to many local spots, it's a great way to spend quality time outdoors.
