Chemtrails Controversy Takes Center Stage at Coeur dā€™Alene Town Hall

At a recent town hall in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho legislators delved into concerns raised by constituents about the presence of "chemtrails" in the skyā€”a topic long dismissed by mainstream science but now drawing attention from some state lawmakers.

The event, hosted by North Idaho Republican legislators, brought forward a mix of conventional political discussion and fringe topics. Among the attendeesā€™ concerns was the idea that visible trails left behind by airplanesā€”commonly known as contrailsā€”are actually chemical agents being dispersed into the atmosphere. Coeur dā€™Alene Explores Sidewalk Expansion Through State Funding Program

Coeur dā€™Alene city leaders are taking a closer look at how to improve sidewalk access and pedestrian safety across the community. During a recent City Council meeting, members discussed the possibility of joining the stateā€™s Local Improvement District (LID) program to help fund new sidewalk construction.

The LID program allows municipalities to finance infrastructure improvements by pooling resources and spreading costs across property owners who directly benefit from the upgrades. While this funding model could speed up sidewalk development in Coeur dā€™Alene, it also raises questions about fairness and affordabilityā€”particularly for residents who might be required to help cover the costs. Goats May Soon Tackle Overgrown
Coeur dā€™Alene Hillside

Faced with an overgrown hillside too steep for traditional landscaping crews, the Meadow Ranch Homeownerā€™s Association has come up with an unusualā€”and eco-friendlyā€”solution: goats.

After receiving the same recommendation from multiple tree service companies, the HOA is pursuing a plan to bring in a team of billies and nannies to graze down thick brush and weeds on a one-acre slope near Meadow Ranch Avenue, just south of Fred Meyer. The effort has gained traction with the cityā€™s General Services/Public Works Committee, which recently voted to support a code change that would allow homeowner associations to temporarily use goats for weed control.

Maintaining the steep property has long been a challenge. The terrain makes it nearly impossibleā€”and potentially dangerousā€”for workers to access the area safely. Traditional equipment isn't feasible, and years of overgrowth have not only created a fire hazard but also threatened the health of nearby trees. Learn Moreā€¦

Cow and Calf Moose Relocated from
University of Idaho Campus

A moose and her calf recently wandered onto the University of Idaho campus in Moscow, drawing attention from students and faculty. While the sight was unusual and even exciting for many, wildlife officials knew it posed potential risks for both the animals and the public.

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game responded to the situation on March 28, relocating the pair after they had spent several days in and around campus. Officials noted that while moose are not uncommon in the area, their prolonged presence in a busy urban setting can lead to safety concerns, especially if the animals become stressed or agitated.
