Businesses Struggle Amid
Spokane Street Roadwork in Post Falls

Local businesses on Spokane Street in Post Falls are facing challenges due to ongoing road construction. Foot traffic has decreased significantly, affecting revenue at establishments like the Filling Station, Kitty Gβs, and Altered Society Tattoo Company. The city of Post Falls has added signage to help direct customers to the affected area. Fairgrounds Agreement Talks Continue Between Kootenai Commissioners and Fair Administrators

Fair administrators and Kootenai County commissioners are negotiating an agreement to keep the Kootenai County Fairgrounds at its current location. Talks began in June due to rumors of a potential relocation. In response, fair leadership presented a 30-year, $280 million master plan to revitalize the grounds. Commissioners prefer a memorandum of agreement over a long-term lease to maintain flexibility for future boards. The current draft of the memorandum proposes a 20-year term with options for two 10-year extensions, though concerns remain about clauses that could undermine the agreement's intent. (Read More...)

Tesla Recalls 27,000 Cybertrucks
Due to Safety Camera Glitch

Tesla has issued its fifth recall for the Cybertruck due to a rearview camera issue that causes a delay in the image display after shifting into reverse. This recall affects over 27,000 Cybertrucks and highlights ongoing challenges with the vehicle since its launch in late 2023. Tesla plans to address the problem through a software update to bring the vehicles back in line with federal safety standards. (Read More...)
