The Coeur dβAlene Downtown Association is hosting its Harvest Market & Apple Palooza event on October 19, 2024 (yep, thatβs today), from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the 5th Street Farmers Market. This event features local harvest produce, music, and food. A key highlight is Apple Palooza, an apple-tasting event where participants sample apple-themed treats from downtown shops and vote for their favorite to win the "Golden Apple" award. Post Falls Crew Grows Massive Pumpkin, Public Invited to Guess Its Weight

A giant pumpkin, unexpectedly grown by the Post Falls streets division, is now a local attraction. The public is invited to guess its weight, with a contest box placed by the pumpkin at City Hall. Grown with minimal care, the pumpkin thrived over the summer. Its actual weight will remain secret until Halloween when it is revealed. Coeur d'Alene Plans Major Traffic Upgrades for Government Way Corridor

The City of Coeur d'Alene has approved a $2.3 million contract to improve traffic flow on Government Way. Upgrades will include new traffic signals, pedestrian ramps, and synchronized signal systems across 10 intersections from Harrison Avenue to Prairie Avenue. These improvements aim to enhance safety and reduce congestion for over 16,000 daily drivers. The project is set to begin next spring, with funding from a $4.8 million grant. Heads to State for 12th Straight Year

Notch Tags to Avoid Violations
