Unsealed Texts and 911 Call Reveal New Details in Idaho Student Murders

Newly unsealed court filings reveal text messages between the surviving roommates and a 911 call transcript from the morning of the University of Idaho student murders. One roommate saw a masked intruder around 4 a.m. and texted the other in fear. A 911 call at 11:56 a.m. initially reported an unresponsive roommate before a friend mentioned seeing a man in the house. Suspect Bryan Kohberger was arrested nearly seven weeks later and faces four counts of first-degree murder. Prosecutors plan to use the texts and 911 call as evidence in his upcoming trial in Boise. A judge unsealed multiple filings to increase public access to the case. Read More…

Spokane Astronaut to Lead SpaceX Mission
to Aid Stranded Crew

Spokane astronaut Anne McClain will lead a SpaceX mission on March 12 to assist two astronauts who have been stranded on the ISS since June. Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams were originally on a short mission but have remained in space for months due to delays. After helping them, McClain’s crew will stay on the ISS for four months. The launch is set for 4:48 a.m. and will be streamed live on NASA’s website.

Rising Stars to Perform with Coeur d'Alene Symphony Orchestra on March 22

The Coeur d'Alene Symphony Orchestra will host its Young Artist Concert on March 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Schuler Performing Arts Center. Seven young musicians, winners of the 2025 Young Artists Competition, will perform alongside the orchestra under Danh Pham’s direction. The program includes works by Lalo, Tchaikovsky, Reinecke, Saint-Saëns, Donizetti, Rachmaninoff, and Prokofiev. Tickets are available at cdasymphony.org/tickets or by calling 208-765-3833.
