89th Monday Night Dinner with
'The Hot Club Of Spokane'

A weekly tradition of Monday night dinners is hosting its 89th and final one for the year which offers a chance for community members to gather, share a meal, and enjoy each other's company without any agenda. The gatherings begin with a happy hour at 5 p.m., followed by dinner around 6-6:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring a dish, and friends are welcome to join. (Learn More...)

Idaho Voters! The pre-registration deadline to register to vote in Idaho’s November 5th General Election is this Friday, October 11. Visit http://VoteIdaho.gov today to pre-register or check your registration and save time at the polls. ✅

Community Generosity: Silverwood Raises $38K for Local Food Banks

Silverwood Theme Park recently donated over $38,256 to local food banks in North Idaho, including Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, Athol, Bonner Community food banks, and Second Harvest. The funds came from a portion of ticket sales during September’s Community Appreciation Weekends, with $4 from each general admission and $1 from youth and senior tickets going to the cause. This year’s contribution exceeded last year’s total by about $3,400. Since 2010, Silverwood has donated over $400,000 to support local food assistance efforts. (Read More...)

LC State Honors Carter Gordon with Championship Ring Ceremony

LC State is gearing up to celebrate its latest National Champion, Carter Gordon, who claimed the NAIA Indoor 800-meter title last spring. This weekend, Gordon will be honored with a special ring ceremony to commemorate his achievement. The celebration is set to take place on Saturday, during the LC State Volleyball match, with the ceremony occurring between the second and third sets. It’s a moment for the community to recognize Gordon's dedication and success, adding to the college's proud athletic legacy. (Read More...)

Improved Conditions Boost Mule Deer Numbers for Idaho Hunters in 2024

The 2024 Idaho mule deer hunting outlook shows signs of improvement, especially after the challenging winter of 2023. A milder winter last year allowed better survival rates among mule deer fawns and does, particularly in eastern Idaho. Statewide numbers have been recovering, though mule deer populations remain below their previous highs. Hunters can expect to see more young bucks this season, but herds will take time to fully rebound. Chronic wasting disease management remains a priority in certain areas. (Read More...)
